NEFWC –Voucher Program
VACANCY: Child Care Voucher Specialist: Pittsfield, MA 1 Position – 20 hrs/wk - Flexible
REPORTS TO: Program Director
REQUIREMENTS; High School Diploma/GED. Early Childhood coursework and/or experience required. Previous childcare resource, referral and voucher casework experience preferred. Awareness and sensitivity to racial, cultural and diverse populations. Computer aptitude required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for facilitating access to affordable childcare for Berkshire County consumers via provision of information, referrals and issuance of vouchers to selected child care providers. Determine consumer subsidy eligibility, availability and conduct intake as appropriate. Assist consumers in determining childcare needs. Provide information concerning all potentially suitable childcare providers in the area. Assess fees and issue vouchers as applicable. Maintain and file accurate consumer information; (database and manual). Establish and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with DTA, DSS, EEC, childcare providers and other affiliated agencies. Report alleged EEC non-compliance and reports of child abuse and/or neglect to all interested parties. Participate in and conduct orientations for new In-Home Relative providers. Any and all other duties as deemed necessary by supervisors.
SALARY: $12.50/hr
