Strengthening Families Program
The Strengthening Families Program is a non-profit parenting and family skills program that provides training specifically designed for high-risk families offering courses in parenting and life skills. The trainings are age appropriate and cover topics like behavior problems, delinquency, and alcohol and drug abuse, and are designed to help parents develop more effective parenting skills.
The SFP program was developed more than twenty years ago and has been implemented in schools, drug treatment centers, family and youth service agencies, as well as foster care and child protection agencies, etc. The SFP program is culturally sensitive and offers publications in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch, Swedish and Thai languages.
