VACANCY
:

Office Specialist:  Springfield, MA –  1 Full-Time position

REPORTS TO:

Program Director or designee


REQUIREMENTS
;

HS Diploma/GED required.  General knowledge of office procedures required.  Ability to deal effectively with the general public.  Ability to type 35-50 wpm required.  Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.


RESPONSIBILITIES
:

The primary responsibility of the LIHEAP Office Assistant is performing general clerical duties in support of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.   Following up on incomplete client documentation.  Processing client notifications.Updating client records.  Providing clerical support in all areas including typing, filing, photocopying, answering telephones and scheduling appointments.  Receiving and processing mail.  Entering client data into computer system.  Reviewing applications for completeness and consistency.  Conducting interviews with LIHEAP applicants and completing application for assistance.  All other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor.

SALARY:

$10.00 per hour.
