A.A. preferred but High School Diploma or GED acceptable. Knowledge and experience working with homeless populations. Understanding of the provision of services to those in need. Bilingual required. Reliable transportation required. Good written, oral and computer skills a must. Willing to work with difficult family situations to resolve housing, income and daily living skills issues. |

RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Provide case management to families while in shelter as well as daily services. be working to move families from Tier 4 to Tier 1 or 2 so as to facilitate their exit from shelter to sustainable housing. Ensure that all persons receive safe, decent care and services while in shelter. Document all services, activities and necessary records for each family while in shelter. Assist family and DTA in the development of self-sufficiency plan. Conduct intakes as needed for all families in shelter program and ensure that regular meetings include all necessary persons working with each family including DTA staff. Keep all case notes and client records, neat, orderly and current at all times. Submit all required paperwork and reports to Director of Case Management Services or assigned supervisor. Assist in the process of housing search as needed. Establish and maintain solid working relationships with all area service providers as resources in providing services to families while in shelter. Ensure that shelter site used by the program is maintained properly and meets all requirements of basic standards of housing. Any and all other duties as assigned by supervisor. |
